Restoration and Colourising

Film restoration describes a series of ongoing efforts among film historians, archivists, museums, cinematheques, and non-profit organisations to rescue decaying film stock and preserve the images they contain. Restoration was a matter of carefully and often exhaustingly cleaning, repairing, and patching together the best surviving bits and pieces of a film. Film colorization (or colourisation) is any process that adds colour to black-and-white, sepia, or other monochrome moving-picture images. It may be done as a special effect, to "modernise" black-and-white films, or to restore colour films. Colorization can add depth and clarity to a picture. Rum Pictures is committed to add the modern touch while keeping the glory and authenticity of the past.
